Education Provider Certification

Real Time Learn is certified by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. The Commission’s address is 1313 Navaho Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609.  Any complaints concerning the Education Provider or its affiliated instructors should be directed in writing to the Commission. A link to the Complaint Form is provided on the Commission’s homepage (ncrec.gov).

Per Commission Rule 58H .0204, the Education Provider must provide each prospective student with a copy of the Education Provider’s Policies & Procedures Disclosure (PPD) prior to payment of any non-refundable tuition or fee. The PPD, which is required by the NC Real Estate Commission, outlines Education Provider policies plus the rights and obligations of the Provider and the student. A signed certification that a student received a copy of the PPD must be retained by the Provider.

NO STUDENT SHALL BE DENIED ADMISSION ON THE BASIS OF AGE, SEX, RACE, COLOR, NATIONAL ORIGIN, FAMILIAL STATUS, HANDICAPPING CONDITION, OR RELIGION.

Course Offerings.

Real Time Learn conducts the annual Continuing Education courses needed to maintain a real estate license on active status.

Broker Continuing Education Courses

Purpose of the Continuing Education Program

The primary objective of the mandatory Continuing Education Program is to help assure that licensees possess the knowledge, skills, and competency necessary to function in the real estate business in a manner that protects and serves real estate consumers and the public interest.

Per G.S.93A-38.5, brokers must complete eight (8) credit hours of instruction annually in subjects approved by the Commission in order to retain eligibility to actively engage in real estate brokerage. Per Commission Rule 58A .1702, the eight hours must be comprised of an Update course and four credit hours of elective courses.

Course Materials

Real Time Learn will provide each student with a copy of course materials in a downloadable PDF format.  The materials are accessed through your Real Time Learn account dashboard.

Eligibility Requirements for Course Completion Certificate

Per Commission Rule 58A .1705(a):

In order to receive credit for completing an approved continuing education course, a broker shall:
(1) attend at least 90 percent of the scheduled instructional hours for the course;
(2) provide his or her legal name and license number to the education provider;
(3) present his or her pocket card or photo identification card, if necessary; and
(4) personally perform all work required to complete the course.

Tuition
$69 per 4-hour elective course. $127 for the 6-hour Strategic Pricing Specialist course.

Registration

To enroll in a course at Real Time Learn prospective students must:

2. Add course(s) to cart and click Check Out
3. Click to Create a New Account or Sign in to an existing account
5. Provide payment information and Submit.

Live Stream Technology Requirements

• Desktop, laptop, or tablet with working webcam and microphone. Cell phones prohibited.
• Zoom video conferencing application. Download the latest version of “Client for Meetings” at http://zoom.us/download
• After downloading the Zoom application, test your webcam to ensure it works by going to http://zoom.us/test and following the prompts.
• As a Zoom participant, you DO NOT need a paid account.
• Broadband Internet access
• Adobe Acrobat Reader (to view PDF files)
• Preferred browser is Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
• You must present a pocket card when joining our video conference.

On Demand Course Technology Requirements

• Desktop, laptop, or tablet.
• Broadband Internet access
• Adobe Acrobat Reader (to view PDF files)
• Preferred browser is Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
• You must enter your full name and license number during registration as it appears on your pocket card

Media Policy

When enrolled in LIVE STREAM courses with students may be photographed, audio and video recorded during class sessions. Students grant permission to Real Time Learn to use their images and audio recordings for educational and promotional purposes, including use in online course products, publications, websites, advertising, and marketing materials. Unless a student notifies the school in writing that he/she does not agree to these terms, the student hereby waives any right to inspect or approve the use of the images or recordings or of any written copy. Furthermore, the student hereby releases and forever discharges Real Time Learn, its agents, officers, directors, employees, and affiliate companies from and against any claims, damages, or liability arising from or related to the use of the images, recordings, or materials. The student understands that they have no rights in, nor will they be paid for participation and/or use of, any of the media.

Tuition and Fees

Real Time Learn accepts the following forms of payment: Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express.

Tuition must be received at time of purchase.

Attendance
• Students in an in-person or synchronous distance learning Continuing Education Course must attend a minimum of 90% of all scheduled instructional hours.
• Early departures from CE courses delivered in-person or via synchronous distance learning are prohibited by Rule 58A.1705.
• Attendance will be closely monitored, including late arrivals and early departures from class sessions and from all scheduled breaks, during in-person and synchronous distance learning courses. All time missed will be recorded for each student.
• Students in an On-Demand Course (asynchronous distance learning) must complete all sections within 30 days of start of course or by June 10th, whichever comes first.

Course Cancellation or Rescheduling / Refunds
Real Time Learn reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a LIVE STREAM course as needed. Students enrolled in a rescheduled or cancelled LIVE STREAM course will be given a minimum 1-day notice of the cancellation or revised course schedule. If a LIVE STREAM course is cancelled or rescheduled, students will have the following options: (1) reschedule to a new date or (2) receive a full refund.

Withdrawals and Transfers / Refunds
Real Time Learn DOES NOT provide refunds for continuing education courses.  A student may withdraw from a LIVE STREAM course by giving written notice to the Education Provider prior to the start of the course. In such event, the student may transfer to another continuing education course in the same license year.

NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER JUNE 10th, the end of the current CE license year.

Student Conduct
For LIVE STREAM Continuing Education Courses, students are expected to leave their cameras on and participate in the interactive activities between instructor and student as well as student group activities.

You consent to receive promotional emails about course offerings, deadlines, updates, and discounts.  As a real estate school licensed by the Real Estate Commission, the Real Estate Commission shares your public information, including your public email and public phone number registered with the commission in order that we may communicate required compliance education offerings with all licensed real estate professionals.  You may unsubscribe from our list at any time at the bottom of all promotional emails.
