Mortgage Industry Update was written and designed to provide students an in-depth yet concise update of the biggest changes to hit the mortgage industry in the past 30 years. We will talk about how the new loan origination process works as well as how to calculate the days from disclosure to closing. We will review the new Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure forms which are meant to help consumers more clearly understand the total costs of a home loan. There will be a quick review of some loan products and the consumer’s paperwork. We will also take a look at the new mortgage rules and how they affect the loss mitigation and foreclosure processes. We will review the Offer to Purchase and Contract and the Short Sale Addenda forms. Loss mitigation products (such as HAMP, HARP, HAFA, Short Sales and Deed in Lieu) will be reviewed.

Best elective ever taken
This is by far the best course I have taken as an elective. Informative and a great instructor that held my interest at every moment. I learned more than I expected and will seek her out in the future.

Ms. Iden was wonderful in her delivery!
I could tell that she’s had a lot of experience. Her explanations and examples were delivered in such a way that she answered whatever question I did have. Thank you for being such a great instructor, Ms. Iden!
